WHAT MAKES COMMUNITY?

We've never been more connected, or more alone. We trade comments for conversation and followers for friends, and end up with a hundred group chats and no one to call on a hard day. That kind of connection is a mile wide and an inch deep.

HEY, I'M Deana {dee-nuh}!

I'm Deana—a Sango mom, a semi-local (thanks military for moving me all around), and someone who knows exactly how lonely a beautiful new house can feel when you don't know a soul.

I went to college here, met my husband, PCS'd all over for the last decane, and moved back in 2022 for the last time. Many of us move around, get so busy with working and the kids, sports, summer camps, etc....and somewhere in there, our own people get lost. So I set a table.

The Southside Social is for moms like me and you on the south side of town who are done trying to make friends through a screen and want the real thing. I plan. You RSVP and show up. The rest takes care of itself.

You can be in twelve group chats and still have no one to call on a hard Tuesday. Real friendship doesn't happen in the comments, it happens across a table, with someone who gets it.

The Southside Social is ten seats, once for lunch and once for dinner each month, hosted in rotating local spots around the south side and downtown.

You reserve a seat, and here's the part everyone loves...you won't know who else is coming until you sit down. No cliques. No name tags. No one's selling anything. Not a networking group.

Just ten local women, a good meal, and a couple of hours that are entirely yours. You don't leave with business cards. You leave with a full soul and new friends, the kind who actually text you back.
